Kerala Style Tapioca With Fish curry

Ingredients

  • Fish – 1 kg
  • Ginger -1 medium
  • Garlic – 5 or 6 nos
  • Garcinia cambogia – 3 or 4 nos
  • Shallots – 8 or 9 nos
  • Green chilli – 3 nos
  • Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
  • Tomatoes- 2 nos
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Fenugreek powder – 1tbsp
  • Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seed – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Method

  • First we have to cut and clean the fish and set a side
  • We have to crush ginger anmd garlic into fine paste and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add spluttered mustard seed .
  • Add crush ginger and garlic paste,chopped shallots ,green chilli and curry leaves saute well .
  • Then we have to add curry powders like red chilli powder,turmeric powder,fenugreek powder and
    salt saute well
  • Add chopped tomatoes and pepper powder mix and saute well till the tomatoes become soften .
  • Add sufficient amount of water and mix well
  • Then we have to add some garcinia cambogia ,mix , cover and cook for 6 to 7 minutes
  • Then we have to add cleaned fish and cook well .
  • Ones the fish curry is ready remove from fire and set aside.
  • Serve and enjoy the fish curry with tapioca.

Tapioca recipe

  • Ingredients
  • Tapioca – 1kg
  • Green chilli- 2 nos
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Grated coconut – 1 cup
  • Cumin seed – 1 tsp
  • Garlic – 5 or 6 nos
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  • First we have to peel off the skin from the tapioca,cut into small pieces ,wash and clean with water.
  • Then we have to boil the tapioca along with water and salt ,until they are well cooked.
  • Drain excess water and set aside.
  • Then we have to grind green chilli ,turmeric powder,grated coconut,cumin seed and garlic ,set aside.
  • Add the coconut grinded paste into the cooked tapioca .
  • Cook for 3 to 4 minutes and combined well.
  • Remove from fire and set aside.
  • Serve and enjoy with fish curry.
