Ingredients
- Chicken – 1 kg
- Cinnamon – 1
- Cloves – 4 nos
- Cardamom – 3 nos
- Garlic – 5 or 6 nos
- Onion – 4 nos
- Green chilli – 3 nos
- Potato – 1 nos
- Carrot – 2 nos
- Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
- Garam masala – 1 tbsp
- Thin cvoconut milk – 1 cup
- Thick coconut milk – 1 cup
- Cashew nut – 250 grm
- Raisins – 250 grm
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste.
Method
- Heat oil in a pan add cinnamon,cloves,and cardamom ,saute well
- Add chopped ginger and garlic and saute well
- Then we have to add chopped onion,green chilli ,curry leaves and salt saute for 6 to 7 minutes
- Add fresh and cleaned chicken pieces and mix it well.
- Add thin coconut milk and mix well .
- Then we have to add chopped potato and carrot mix,cover and cook well
- Now we add pepper powder and garam masala cover and cook well.
- Again we have to add thick coconut milk and cook well
- Heat oil in a pan add cashew nut and raisins fry it well and set a side.
- Again we have to use the same pan for frying spices, chopped onion and curry leaves ,set aside
- Now we have to add fried ingredients like cashew ,raisins and onion etc.. into the chicken stew pan
and mix well. - Remove from fire and set aside.
- Serve and enjoy the taste of chicken stew with appam
