Ingredients
- Rice flour – 1 1/2 cup
- Urad dal -1 cup
- Black Sesame seed – 1or 2 tsp
- Oil – 1 or 2 tbsp
- Salt – 1 or 2 tbsp
Method
- Heat a pan, add urad dal, and roast them well.
- Take the pan off the heat and set it aside.
- Take a bowl, add rice flour, and powdered roasted urad dal.
- Add black sesame seed and mix them well.
- Add water little by little and knead it into a smooth dough. Keep aside.
- Take an idiyappam mould with murukku plates in it.
- Add the dough to it and close it, set aside.
- Take a banana sheet and press the dough into a circle shape onto the banana leaves.
- Then repeat the same process for the balance of the dough .
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Then they placed the murukku dough pieces one by one into the hot oil.
- Deep fry till they become golden colour and crispy
- Keep it in an airtight container.
- Serve the tasty rice murukku with tea or coffee.
