Tasty Kerala Style Banana Snack Recipe – Banana Ada

Banana – 7 nos
Rice powder – 1/2 cup
Cashe nut – 16 to 17 nos
Raisins – 12 to 13 nos
Grated coconut – 1 cup
Sugar – 3 to 4 tbsp
Crushed cardamom – 3 to 4 nos
Ghee – 2 to 3 tbsp

Method

Heat water in a steamer and place the idli plates
Now placed the banana and steam for 10 to 12 minutes
Remove the lid and check whether the skin of the banana is starting to split in places.
Remove the steamed banana and set aside
Then peeled the cooked banana and set aside.
Heat ghee in a pan add chopped cashewnut.
Saute them well. Then add raisins and fry them well.
Then add grated coconut and saute them well.
Again, add the sugar and saute them well.
Then add crushed cardamom and saute them well.
Remove from fire and set aside. Cut the banana in half and remove the seeds.
Smash the banana with fingers into a fine paste.
Then add rice powder and mix them well.
Then take a small portion of the banana dough mix.
Then take a plate and place a banana leaf sheet.
Then place the small portion of banana mix.
Then press the dough with your hands and flatten it well.
Then set aside the flattened dough mix.
Again, we take medium sized dough and place the banana leaves.
Then flatten the dough with your hands.
Then add the roasted coconut mix and spread evenly.
On top, place the flattened banana dough mix.
Again, add the coconut mixture and spread it out.
On top again, place the flattened dough mixture and set aside.
Then place the banana mix on steamer vessel.
Cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes.
Once it is ready, remove the banana snacks from the steamer and set them aside.
Serve and enjoy the healthy banana snacks with tea or coffee.
